How can we measure whether AI is actually helping students?
Decide the measure before the rollout — learning, integrity incidents, teacher time, literacy skills, or student explanation of work. Logins and prompt counts are not evidence that AI helped.
Pick one or two signals you already care about. Look at student work process, not only grades. Ask teachers whether they can see use and whether students still think. Review the policy and the tool after a term, not after a week of excitement.
