AI Literacy
How can teachers teach AI literacy?
Teach it as practice, not a one-week unit: short concepts, time to question outputs, and projects under adult guidance. Teachers also need their own fluency — ethics, foundations, and pedagogy — not only which buttons to press.
Teachers teach literacy by modeling skepticism, requiring students to explain an output, and designing tasks where AI is a tool inside student work. Clubs and projects help. So does a school tool the teacher can see.
