What AI skills do teachers need?
Teachers need enough fluency to evaluate tools, plan with AI when it helps, teach with it, hold integrity and safety lines, and review outputs for errors and bias. That is teacher AI literacy — not only knowing which buttons to press.
Skills include prompting for a draft, checking the draft, designing student tasks around AI, monitoring student use, and explaining the school’s rules to families. Pedagogy matters more than a vendor certification.
