How should a school choose an AI tool?
Choose from the reason you are using AI, not from a demo catalog. Check who it is for, what it is allowed to do, how adults see use, what data it collects, and whether it supports integrity and literacy — then run a small pilot.
Write the job first: student literacy, club projects, teacher planning, safer homework help. Then score tools against that job, your policy, and your ages. AI Readiness is the decision frame; the purchase comes after.
