How should teachers disclose AI use?
When AI materially shaped materials, feedback, or communication that families or students will see, say so in plain language. Disclosure models the same habit the school asks of students.
Teachers do not need a footnote on every warm-up. They should disclose when AI was a substantial author of something presented as school work product — a letter home, a rubric, or feedback that will affect a student. That is consistency, not theater.
