What should middle school students learn about AI?
Middle school students can write and improve prompts, compare outputs, practice fact-checking, talk about bias and privacy, and learn when AI use on schoolwork must be disclosed.
This is the band where generative tools become tempting for homework. Literacy should include integrity and evaluation, not only how to get a longer answer. Structured prompting, deepfake awareness, and “what did you change?” belong here.
