How should students disclose AI use?
Ask students to name the tool, how they used it, what part AI contributed, and what they changed or verified. Set that expectation before the work starts. Disclosure can vary by assignment.
Disclosure is not a confession. It is a habit of saying how the work was made. A short note can be enough: tool, purpose (tutor, brainstorm, feedback, draft), and what the student did next.
Some assignments will require no AI and no disclosure beyond that rule. Others will require a sentence at the end. Put the expectation on the prompt so students are not guessing.
